"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!

I remember your art--I have used your older picture of Axel from Kingdom Hearts as a go-to when talking with people about sorts of "fusion" styles I wish I could see more of. I'm glad you're still making art! Now that I have bitten the bullet and gotten a dA account of my own, I'm going to +watch because I'm sure I could learn a great deal from you.
