I wanted to go back and redraw all my Raiwani characters, which is my own breed of... strange dark-skinned people with big ears. I haven't drawn a few of them in quite a while, namely Ibis and Rivec, and I wanted to make sure their appearances or features weren't muddling into one, so I tried to emphasize their differences, and it was much easier when they were all right next to each other.
Rivec is my original Raiwani, and I was determined to draw him without his tophat on - mostly because I felt like I was using it as a copout to draw the top of his head. SO TAKE THAT. I have defeated you, bangs and top of head. :d Rivec is crude, but a goof. He says dirty things but is less likely to carry them out. He does it mainly to get a reaction from people, as you can see - he's an attention whore. In general he means well, mischievous as he is.
Ibis is the charmer - the talker, the looker. He's also albino. There's much more to him than he would rather anyone know, as he lures people in with false identities or 'masks'. A talented actor, he assumes many roles in order to woo various people. Very few know what he is truly like underneath all these personas. He's capable of being cruel and caring, but is ultimately very vain and selfish.
Anwar is a bastard. The end. Cold and heartless, he thrives in the pain and suffering in others. Granted, he thinks he's giving them quite the honor dealing them such pain and torture - but few would feel the same. X3 There is very little good in Anwar - and what's there is so contorted by his demented thoughts, it's hardly ever seen as good.
Isham, at last, is the most tame of the bunch, but hardly the most normal. He's a bookworm, and a devoted student in ancient magic. He's quiet and timid, spending little time or devoting little thought to anything else but his studies. He is distant and quiet, and is often overlooked. Few have the patience to put up with his constant studying and practice, and he's lost many lovers to jelousy of his books and magic. So deep and enthralled in his world of magic, it's easy for him to forget the humanity and kindness of others, and has become rather hermitlike - intentionally avoiding human contact.
...whew! That was a mouthful, but it's interesting for me to read what other people's characters are like, so I thought I'd offer up some descriptions, in case anyone's interested.
Like iBis, in fact, that's how i found you The picture i saw, i couldn't actually tell if he was a guy or a girl...hahaha...well, good to know Really liked the character
PRECIOUS!
I love reading descriptions of original characters, so this just made my day.
IIIIISSSHHHHAAAMMMM........ :d
The color schemes really reflect their personalities. You can really tell what they're like by the colors and poses.
Hey these guys are really neat. Is there any way that I could maybe be allowed to draw one of your chars or try my hand at a Raiwani character? Thought Id ask before I went all fan girl on you
Fantastic!!
Ah, I simply adore Ibis and Isham....
Isham needs a hug.
Or a warm cat.
Also, it's always fun to read about the characters of others, so thanks a lot for including their personalities.
I adore it, and wish I knew how you did it, though I guess with some awfully complicated artshop or something that I can't comprehend.
Still, the coloring is marvelous.
I remember them! i used to wonder how they were like... (personalities and all, I mean) My favourites are Rivec and Ibis^^ Anwar and Isham look pretty too..
Isham's expression makes me think a bit of Wade... Love his glasses!!
GAH
Your characters are amazing~
I've already fallen in love with Isham & Ibis.
And thank you for the description, I can always understand a person's character better if they have just a little bit about them written for the public.
