OMG. TT^TT I emerge briefly from the depths of work and overtime to post fanart, only to dive back in tomorrow morning. Firstoff I apologize for not being able to respond to any notes, messages, or lovely comments over the past...several...weeks. The game I am directing is now in Alpha, and uh. It's killing me.

In other NONWORKRELATED news, (god I just talk about work all the time, no wonder I'm such a bore) YAY FF7! And yay Cloud. I actually really do love Cloud. Not as much as I love Reno...or Vincent and Cid...but. I doo. ^3^

This is a test in comicing tones. I've never really experimented with them before, and thanks to some helpful tips from , I opted to fiddle with tones in photoshop. I really want to improve my comicing skills (of which are none), so I've been toying with the idea of doing an FF7 doujin.... to accomplish a few things: start working up my comic-y skills, work on my storytelling, work on my style in a NON-COLORED form (i rely far too much on color for my artwork), and let me fangirl about ff7.

It kinda sounds like a win/win situation to me. Particularly that last bit.

Anywhoo. Hope you like. I will probably not be able to restrain myself from painting this too. But maybe I'll push myself on ahead to similar drawings of other ff7 characters..... the choices. :D

But you are soo good at colouring! Alright, his sexiness not-withstanding, if I could critique this I would say the area where his legs meet (that is how I will term that area 0_o) looks a bit strange as well as his right arm. I think it would also help if you used that marvelous imagination of yours and desgined his clothes a bit more, making it your own and yet not going all the way crazy that someone couldn't recognise Cloud anymore. Like keeping the poofy pants but adding string laces on the side for example. I'ts exciting to see your art and I hope to see much more of it ^^

Awesome! Thank you for the crits!! Hmm yes, I think I was a bit too conservative on his clothing design on this one. I changed up a few things but was scared to do much more. Maybe now that I've drawn him a few times I can be more daring. ^o^

wha.. tones.. how.. the tones look real nice. did you use the halftone screen approach? he's got an awesome profile. specially his nose.
