Ok let's see - we have an image hosted on a profile that is 1 day old and asks you to visit a website with a strange url with a promise of a financial reward on an another website. How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.
I know this is a no-duh for 90% of people reading it but for the sake of the rest lets revise what we all should know about online phishig. And before you go all:

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

I contacted the head staff about the AA tables last year in November and we really haven't heard any information.
The only thing I know is that we're "on the list" but like others mentioned, only the artists who were there last year get a definite spot.

They've already begun sending out reg forms to those in the 'first pull group'; you can pm Hastur and ask her to put you on the waiting list...

You have to register for a Tax ID and have that handy like immediately upon registering; I registered online at: [link] [you have to print out the sign form and fax it to the place, but I'd send it too as well]

It's so totally lame, cause I asked to be put on the list at last year's con, buuuut I'm not even in the first group. ooooh boy. DDDx xD

p.s. I'll totally share my table with you if I can [I made plans to share with someone else, but I'm not sure what the limit of people per table is... I think it's more than two though... and I don't know if I'll get a table...]

I still think it's exceptionally heinous the way they're doing the table reg this year.

If I do get in, Im gonna sign up for the following year as soon as I set foot in the con, hahaha! I know it's a giant cluster, but still, man it's getting tough to get in.

That's exactly what I did last year, and I still didn't get on the first pull group! I find it awful how they give all the people who already got to be artists first pick on the tables. It discourages and new artists, some of whom [like fayren] are absolutely fantastic and much worthier of getting a table then some crappy pencil outline drawer who started drawing two weeks prior to the con.

p.s.- I was just looking through your art, and you totally need to get a table~! [L in undies is soooo adorable <3333] I'd buy all your prints [if I'm not totally broke when I get there 88D]

And yes, it is very unfair how they are doing this. No other con plays these kinds of silly games with the AA. Just give people tables if they are available. End story. -sigh- I guess I may need to pick a different con to go to if I can't get into Akon.

So, went to check out the forum thingy. How screwball, honestly. What's with the lists and stuff? Just give people tables who want them and can pay? Is the way they've always done it til now.

If you do find a way in, buy a table for the next year while you're at the con. That is the best way to deal with Akon's fury. Otherwise, it's hell on earth to try and find someone :\. I pmed the person to see if Im on the list somewhere, since we were there last year..and the year before that...and before that..etc. I dont know though. Good luck! Hope you can wiggle in ^_^.

Whuu? They're giving priority to previous tablers? That seems kind of bone... I am a previous tabler for Akon, I almost always go, but that still seems unfair. Akon is getting increasingly difficult to get into as an artist, as the con is so unbelievably huge. One thing of advice, stick to the tables and don't do the show.
