My art feels so stale. I feel like i reuse compositions, angles, and elements way too much in my art. More importantly, I feel like my style is drifting down a direction that I'm not too comfortable with. Is my stuff too anime? Sometimes I feel like it is. Not that it's a disrespectable thing... the reason my art drifts toward it now is because I obviously like it, and a lot of my influences come from it, but I don't want MY art to look like it. I used to be fairly confident that my style was unique enough to stand out, but I'm starting to feel like I'm losing that edge...
This is just insecure ramblings, not a plea for flattery or anything. Just the musings of an artist that's in the same place I think we've all been several times. I'll probably be doing a few extreme works in the near future to try and figure out what I need to make my artwork feel fresh again. I've gotten a few good suggestions, and I may try them out.
What usually works for you guys?

Haha, so huge x_x sorry~ I hope it helps. *im prolly commenting so late you might have even gotten over this x_x*
but your not in that situation. your art reminds of kinda like.......a whismical(spelling?) fairytale with modern peices in the middle. its hard to say but i have to tell you, of all the people i watch your artwork is my absolute favorite. its never been seen as anime to me. and actually its so unique it suprises me that you would say that.
PS. if i could be reminded of a country with your work(like the feel?) i always thought britain not japan
But do something COMPLETELY different for the next few weeks.
Like for over all angles, thats a no brain-er.
As for pose try something more-flat. Flat and still.
I find that many of your images are very excited and motion like. Practicing a still or flat range of posses may be able to get a certain spark.
You may also want to go into a different direction, like animation. Animation would help you more in making your motion like pictures realistic and more reality focused.
And changes in my lifestyle usually trigger a style change. It depends on what I read, or watch on tv, or look at on the internet. I'm one of those people that just picks up style elements according to what I surround myself with, so if I look at Disney-ish art and watch Disney movies... well. XD Self-explanitory.
I hope you feel better about all this soon. Style ruts are never fun to deal with or live through. T___T;
